Tonight I wasn’t feeling so hot, my throat was killing me and I had a fever. But I knew I had to go to practice, since I missed last Monday’s swim practice. It was my first time swimming in the 50yrd pool, I was a bit nervous to begin with, but mind over matter is key! We started out, and my throat started feeling better, I think it was from the humidity which helped. I’ve never swam so far in my life. For some reason, I had the energy and drive to just swim all night. After practice, my coaches asked me if I was the Ann that’s been coming to practice. I was a rockstar in the pool, and seemed to surprise everyone. When I walked to the locker room, folks were giving me high-fives!! That’s how rockstars do it!!!

I had to miss Saturday’s running class so I ran it on Friday instead. It was a perfect day for running tempo intervals, kinda rainy, no sun and just a bit of wind. Perfect running weather!

I found an awesome pool by my house…if I go there at noon, I get the pool all to myself!!! Here’s what I did…
WU: 4 x 50 easy @ :15 rest

This is what we did. We have to get ready for the 50 yard pool that we will be swimming in beginning next week. I will have to see how that goes…fingers crossed!
